- Burned fuel is pushed out by compressed fuel mixture.

- Intake port is covered and valve forced closed.

 - Fuel mixture is drawn into crankcase.

- Fuel is compressed and ignited.

- Transfer port is uncovered and fuel mixture forced into cylinder.
