McPherson Suspension

MacPherson suspension 

It is a type of car suspension system that uses the following components: damper, ruleman, spring, steering pivot and ball joint to used in the front suspension of modern vehicles.

It was named for American automotive engineer Earle S. MacPherson, who originally invented and developed the design.
