There are different signs to help us to be aware of danger at work. For example: prohibition signs, prohibiting behaviour likely to increase or cause danger, such as ‘no access for unauthorised persons’. Warning sign, it is – a sign giving warning of a hazard or danger, for instance: ‘danger: electricity’. Mandatory sign, it is a sign prescribing specific behaviour for example: ‘eye protection must be worn’. Finally, emergency escape or first-aid sign, it is a sign giving information on emergency exits, first aid, or rescue facilities, for example: ‘emergency exit/escape route’.
